Possible Locations

Maxton Plains, Fossil Ledges, Huron Bay, First Lake dam and wildlife flooding have delighted photographers.

Wild flowers, orchids, fossils, waves lapping the rocky shoreline, sandhill cranes and beaver lodges are just some of the possibilities.

Each season and location has its own special interest.

Prepare to loose track of time as you fill you memory card with beautiful images.

Recommendations

Equipment

Bring a camera, lenses, flash, lightweight tripod, filters, lens hoods, lens cloth, battery charger, batteries, storage device or portable hard drives, card reader, all cables, power converters, memory cards and adapters, a rain cover for your backpack and camera, cable release and your cameras manual.

Bug spray

If you think you might need it, bring it. Due to the remote location, photography processing services and equipment are not available Drummond Island.

Digital Review Sessions - *Upon request

Take home better photos. Do a review session before or during your excursion.

You will be asked to select up to 10 images for each review session that you will review with your mentor on your own laptop. During this time we will discuss my top ten tips for a great shot.

Weather

These tours are very casual and you are apt to get dirty, and maybe a little wet. We will be shooting outdoors, so bring a variety of clothing you can layer and insect repellent. Dress comfortably, with good hiking shoes. Make sure to have rain gear with you at all times to protect your camera bag and camera.

Non-photographer Policy

We would like to inform you that individuals accompanying the tour participants will be charged the full workshop cost due to limitation of transportation, meals, and customized attention.

Incidentals

You are responsible to pay for all charges to your room when you check out of your hotels. Incidentals such as room service, drinks, phone calls, business services, laundry, etc. are not included.
